My closest friend – my not-chosen sister

Since the first time I saw Emma, I was surprise by the energy she transmitted, and since that moment I understood that I could no longer do without it.

But let’s start from the beginning: who is Emma? Some years ago, I went to a volleyball gym for the first time and I was so scared because I didn’t know anyone, while other girls were already friends. A few minutes later, I saw a little figure come to me with the biggest smile I have ever seen. She introduced herself as Emma, a girl of my age who was there for the second time and she was also alone. I instantly felt that she could be one of my closest friends because I understood that her smile would help me in dark moments. If you ask me now what is Emma to me, I will say that she is everything: she is my shoulder to cry on, my support and my first fan when I achieve my goals.

I will never stop thanking that meeting and every day try to do my best to reciprocate all her love.

Everyone should have an Emma in their life and I am so fortunate for this.
