Nowadays, some drivers fail to follow traffic laws. This essay will discuss two main reasons for this behaviour and two major effects.
In my opinion, there are several reasons why people do not obey traffic regulations. The main reason is getting a licence through a bribe. Some person obtain their driving licences without receiving sufficient knowledge and practical training, as a result of which drivers are not well familiar with the rules and presumably do not have enough skills. Another reason is that some individuals are in a hurry. When car users are late for work or another meeting, they may ignore traffic regulations in order to save time. For instance, they might exceed the speed limit or drive through a red light to reach their final destination faster. This problem can have severe negative effects on road users and society.
Regarding the consequences, the first one is an increased risk of road accidents. When drivers ignore the rules, they are more likely to make dangerous decisions, which can put themselves and other road users at risk. For example, exceeding the speed limit or driving through a red light can result in serious collisions, leading to injuries or even deaths. Another consequence is that drivers can face financial problems, such as fines. To illustrate the situation, a driver who regularly exceeds the speed limit may receive a large fine, especially if the case is repeated.
In conclusion, obtaining a drivers licence through bribery and the desire to save time are the main reasons why some drivers fail to obey traffic laws. This can lead to significant consequences such as road accidents and financial problems.
