There is no denying the fact that too many companies in modern times prefer open- space decorations for work. While it is a commonly held belief that separate rooms are essential for work environment, there is also an argument that opposes it. This essay will analyze this topic from both points of view and evaluate the advantages and disadvantages for society and individuals.
On one hand, many offices admired this method as a plan of saving cost from the annual financial resources. In other words, instead of paying high-cost on infrastructures such as designs and decoration they invest the money on other future aspects. In addition, open-spaces demonstrate to improve numerous vital skills for employees, as well as communication skills, team working and a healthy work environment. For example, employees with a shy feeling can enhance their ability to communicate with others with confidence.
On the other hand, despite the variety of cons of open- spaces, there is also a critical drawback such as privacy and losing concentrate. It is also possible to say that many jobs required focusing such as creative jobs, as well as video editing, moderation, voice over. Moreover, an opportunity to spare diseases from air and unclear oxygen. For instance, when the world is throated by the pandemic “COVIED19” in this case individuals can not work together in the same open-space.
In conclusion, there is no easy answer for this question. On balance, however, I tend to believe that separate rooms are more sufficient to create creative teamwork despite the significant impact of open-spaces.
