In the modern era, well-known persons, such as artists and entrepreneurs, are more famous for their fashionable outfits and wealth than for their other accomplishments. Consequently, it promotes a misconception about success and confuses adolescents. In my perspective, I believe that celebrities have a negative impact on the growing generation.
To begin with, certain individuals in the industry sphere inherited fame from ancestors without hard work. For instance, some children of well-known superstars, such as Cristiano Ronaldo Junior, are considered overhyped and famous for their father’s name, while their achievements are unsubstantial. He spends all his time attending entertainment places and elegant restaurants at his young age. In contrast to his father, who worked really hard to become a reputable football player. Simultaneously, it promotes a wrong idea about accomplishment, and numerous juveniles will underestimate the effort in achieving success.
On the other hand, glorious stars in the spotlight are considered role models for adolescents. A majority of young people imitate the actions and lifestyles of famed individuals. However, some celebrities set bad examples, such as alcoholism and drug addiction. For instance, the outstanding rapper Snoop Dogg, with the most-listened-to song, openly propagates drug use, vandalism, and banditry in his songs, with more than 100 million listeners, half of whom are teenagers. Consequently, it changes the thinking of juveniles, and they might contemplate crime and a wrong lifestyle as normal.
In conclusion, the actions of celebrities significantly impact the lives of young individuals. In my view, all teenagers should be encouraged to promote hard work and effort rather than chasing immediate success.
