I agree with the fact that in today’s world, many governments budget funds for the sports industry and I think it’s a beneficial investment. But I disagree because the spending for sports from the government is too much and going to be out of control.
The reason why I agree is that when the government spends money for sports facilities, the residents will be pleased and active. Moreover, the people in that country will be healthier and prevent bad diseases and sickness. In addition, the hospitals won’t be full so they can make space for the people who suffer from deadly illnesses. Another reason is the government can organize more competitions to find many teenagers who have talent in sport, cheer them up to improve their skills and practice harder. For example, England spends money on professional training for the young children who have potential in playing football so now they have a very strong national football team and they also have the third place in 2018 world cup.
In contrast, I also disagree that they spend too much money on sports activities. If they don’t spend the majority of their money, they can fund the medical system and give better service for patients. Moreover, they can spend money on education and build more schools, making it easier for poor children to go to school. Protecting the environment is another critical factor so that they can spend their money from tax to recycle waste and punish the factories that make the ecosystem polluted.
In conclusion, it is important that the government should spend money on the sports industry but not too much so they can split their funds into other fields.
