In today’s modern society, there are several reasons why people decide to participate in outdoor activities rather than stay at home. This could lead to various effects on individuals and on society nowaday.
There are several reasons for spending less time at home in this generation. Firstly, younger generations believe that participating in a plethora of activities such as volunteering, sports and clubs would promote their mood and mindset. This could be a better way to de-stress and create a positive mood for them after a hectic week. Furthermore, participation in outdoor activities can widen their social circle and accumulate a huge range of knowledge and experience. For instance, playing sports after a day can build strength and physical health, during which they can communicate with their teammates. Secondly, In this day and age, people totally concentrate on career and academic achievement. Thus, they are busy with their hectic and stressful schedule at work. In Japan, many young people choose to stay in the workplace because they are tired and don’t have enough time to move.
From my perspective, spending less time can lead to detrimental effects on individuals and society. A large workload would make adults feel stressed and burn out from long working hours in a company. Additionally, stressful schedules and overload in jobs might promote entertaining demand, leading to financial strain for many costly de-stress activities. From a family perspective, a weak connection between members in a family could lead to conflict and argue frequently. According to BBC news, 50% surveyed people who lived in the countryside have a stronger connection with members of their family than those who lived in urban areas.
In conclusion, spending less time at home could be caused by various ways, this would lead to several effects on people’s life nowaday such as a stressful mentality or lack of interaction with other members in a family.
