In our world of capitalism, more and more schools have found a way to make a profit by selling unhealthy food and sugar drinks to students during lunch breaks. In my opinion this trend has more benefits, and in this essay I will explain my point of view and provide some examples.

On the one hand, providing unhealthy food can cause quite a few diseases in a growing body of a student. Furthermore, now schools and colleges are used to have a higher price for sugar drinks and other types of fastfood, which can create financial problems for students, who don’t have a lot of money, but have an addict to unhealthy food. For example, almost all sodas have a huge rate of sugar and it create disbalance in human bodies, which can lead to problems with skin, heart and blood pressure.

On the other hand, the availability to buy such food creates a good habit that called self control. Seeing doubled price can motivate students to save their money for later, allowing them to buy something that may be better than an overpriced can of soda. For instance, I used to buy unhealthy food in my school, but hardly did I realize how much money do I spend, when I became saving them for something else, and now I understand, that this soft skill is very valuable for me in adult life.

Beside the fact, that this feature has its own disadvantages, I think that providing unhealthy food in schools not only creates a possibility to have troubles with health, but it creates an environment, where students can learn how to manage their money, and this skill will have a big impact in their future.
