Band 4+: Nowadays, more and more older people who need employment compete with the younger people for the same jobs. What problems this causes? What are solutions?

Nowadays, finding jobs has become challenging for both olders people and youngesters .While this can be attributed to lack of vacancies and low pensions for elder people. Imposing new job organizations and increasing the state pension can alleviate the situation.

Lack of vacancies can be the main culprit behint the competition amoung older and younger people. Many older people staying in or re- entiring the workforce due to financial necessity, at the same time new graduates entering the job market. As employers they tend to have older workers with more experiences, but they find it difficult to replace them with younger workers who are inexperienced but young and open to new skills, and this lead to increase competition between them. Low pentions are another factor . In many countries, older people do not want to retire early because of low income from pensions. That is way they prefer to continue their work whole life, and this cause growth of youngster’s unemployment rate.

However, there are many ways by which the problem can be addressed. Firstly, country ought to be stimulate economic growth to create more job opportunities in various sectors. For example, Government initiatives to support startups and small businesses can lead to job creation, benefiting both older and younger workers.Apart from this, Authorities should increase pensions in order to older individuals can cover their financial necessity and younger people can get work .

In conclusion, the main reasons behind compete between older and younger people are less available job facilities and the less money given to older people when they retire, but the situation can be improved by set up new private buninesses and offering
