There is no doubt that all parents always love their children and wish them all the best. Sometimes, we can see they are putting an overload of pressure on their children to succeed whether it brings positive or negative effects. In this essay, I am going to discuss what is the purpose behind this attitude and how it will affect children’s future.
On the one hand, parents always want to create a better world for their children. First, parents know what is the best choice for their children and they will not ever guide them to the wrong path. Furthermore, the adults don’t want their children suffering any (financial burden/ pressure/ getting) risks from the economy in their life. Having a solidified economy, children can also have a chance to be more independent and self-disciplined which helps them to achieve more goals in their work. Secondly, the adults have experienced this part of life and know exactly what are the consequences of it. They know how this will end in the end so they put a lot of pressure on them to not see their kid having a horrible time and feeling upset about not getting the best treatment at an early age.
On the other hand, this statement can also bring some disadvantages for the children. First, children can be overloaded with information because they have to cram the amount of knowledge that their parents offer them to succeed. Furthermore, with a dense schedule made by adults, children can have no time to explore themselves in their hobbies and another workfield they want. Example, children enjoy making art work but their parents want them to be a successful doctor or engineer which can create extremely hard situations for the children. As a result, children can not open their hearts with the work that parents offer them to do, it also provides an unsatisfactory decision for children.
To conclude, parents want their children to be excellent individuals. However, parents have reason themselves to decide their view and it can bring both negative and positive effects for their children.
