I am of the opinion that parents always try to be a good example and motivation for their children, but not everyone is able to encourage their children in the right way due to support and advice. In the last decades, the modern world has a gradual rise in the tendency to compare people through their accomplishments. As a consequence of that, nowadays parents want to empower their children to get the skills they need for a great career in the future, and even put too much pressure on their children to succeed.
One potential risk of that kind of upbringing is to cross the line between motivation and pressure, while parents are not able to notice that they have already exchanged their children’s desires for personal goals from their childhood. Following their own daydreams about the successful life and future of their children, parents are ready to destroy the way of life that their children choose. From their point of view, they have a wealth of experience to draw on, but their kids can have absolutely other imaginations about their adult lives, and their parents’ experience is useless in that case. As a result of that kind of upbringing children can lose any desire for development and moving up in their career. The possible way to solve this is to hear and support each one in dire straits, and give advice if you were asked. My advice for parents is to understand that children should take responsibility for their lives and make their personal way to success.
In concussion, it is clear that children are under increasing pressure to break more often than to achieve success in the atmosphere of support from their parents.
