Nowadays, people from farming areas tend to move to cities. Modern life is getting more popular and there are more choices in bigger cities. As far as I am concerned, this migration reflects a desire for better opportunities.
To begin with, it is vital to mention that in urban cities, there are a lot of work and study options. Now that social media is spreading the word, this makes it harder for rural areas to compete. Also, the desire to have a professional business life, gain knowledge and boost self–improvement, that many individuals seek the advantages that the city offers.
Furthermore, perhaps a more important aspect to consider is that big cities offer entertainment activities. People have plenty of opportunities to choose what to do throughout the day, like going to the cinema, theatres and visiting museums. There are also many concerts and festivals that bring people together, where they can have picnics and enjoy music.
However, the opponents of this idea claim that in the countryside, there is a lot of peace. People can not hear cars beeping or loud city noises. They know everyone around, including their neighbors and they do not need to feel the pressure to fit in somewhere. The sounds of nature of forests and lakes bring a sense of calmness.
Taking everything into account, while some people argue that a quiet place in rural cities is the best, I hold the opposite opinion. I am inclined to believe urban areas are more interested in their activity and opportunities.
