In recent years, there has been a debate about taxpayersʼ money, which is invested by the government in several areas of life, especially healthcare. On the one hand, people say that healthcare should be the main goal for investment, while others believe that the government needs to focus on other directions of life. Although both views are beneficial to people, the second idea is better for me.
Some think that when the government invests money in healthcare, it can not only improve satisfaction and productivity but also generate many possibilities to fight diseases. Firstly, people who have great health avoid early death and health problems, leading to being satisfied. Productivity is generated while people do not suffer from illnesses. People feel fresh themselves, and they work much more time than an ill person. For example, the USA separates 1.4 billion dollars for improving people’s health every year, and it is determined that people’s productivity rises about 2 percent at least. Furthermore, when the government invests in healthcare, many new and modern clinics are built, which are very effective to fight serious illnesses because of their capabilities to encompass numerous patients. Before there was an infection, COVID 19, Germany had invested 20 percent of its annual profit every year, and there were enough hospitals and skilled doctors. Therefore, Germany was one of the least suffered countries.
I think that it would be more beneficial if countries invested money in other sectors instead of healthcare, such as infrastructure or manufacturing. Improving infrastructure leads to being profitable and social, which fosters to fascinate a host of tourists, who not only spend their money in there but also share their culture and skills. For instance, Paris and Dubai are the most profitable cities in tourism, and about 34 million people go to these cities, spending 50 million dollars each year. Moreover, manufacturing helps to remain financially stable when countries face financial problems. Manufacturing is the only chance to enhance exports, which are the main profit for countries. When there was a war in the middle of the 20th century, China cut healthcare and study, spending all money to generate factories, and it was a true decision.
In conclusion, although some think that healthcare is the most primary point for investment, my view is that money sources should be spent for other areas of life, such as infrastructure or manufacturing, giving us profitable and sociable advantages.
