To begin with, online shopping became so popular just a few years ago, so some people still do not trust this method. At the same it became a viral, so we could clearly say it has some advantages.
Firstly, online shopping allows you to make purchases while you are at home. It is a significant factor, because it can safe your time, so you do not need to plan your shopping in advance. Secondary, you can check all the shops that you need on the same platform instead of went to them personally and looking for each of them. Thirdly, online platform provides the entire range of items they have in stock, while the offline shops cannot give you the same volume. As a result, when you shop online, you can order exactly what you need. The last one is that online platforms often provide some special discounts and bonuses, which could help you to safe your money and to get some benefit.
On the other hand online shopping also has disadvantages. Ordering a product online you never know exactly how it will look like. If it is a clothes it might not fit, and if it is a home decor, for example, it may not be the same colour as it was in the picture and etc. Furthermore, staff can make mistakes too, so you can get the wrong order or the wrong quantity of items. Although, delivery can be problematic, when you cannot to track your order or it is late. Moreover, your pack can be damaged during delivery, so you will have to deal with this later.
In conclusion I would say that online shopping has more benefits, because it is the most convenient way to shop in the developed world, where time is very valuable. In my opinion, all the problems that were mentioned can be easily resolved.
