In this modern age, it is no surprise that individuals prefer migrating to more developed countries that offer better life security, education and job opportunities. While migrating can bring some drawbacks, I am convinced that long-term benefits of this surpass all the disadvantages.
On one hand, leaving their native land for another country means people will have to face some difficulties. A particular disadvantage would, in fact, be the sense that this process requires a lot of money resources, good educational background and dedication of time. Giving the decision of migrating is not the easiest thing to do as individuals need to have enough amount of income to pay the expenses of plane tickets and rent a new apartment. It shows that in order to acquire better life standards in another country you already need to have fair amount of income and intelligence that will make you stand out among other migrants. In addition, feeling homesick is one of the common emotions when living abroad, especially for the students who migrated because of pursuing their education. They may start missing traditional home-cooked meals and their family activities.
On the other hand, I believe advantages of migrating are more important. Among tremendous benefits is its potential to offer newer job opportunities. Living in highly developed country means having chance to meet professionals of their field and learning new skills. In this way, individuals will be able to enhance their competencies which will lead them to new career paths. Furthermore, it is a great way of obtaining information about different cultures and learning their language. Culture and language of countries which are highly developed have big impact on the whole world. That means in this way one will gain a type of knowledge that can be used in all around the earth.
In conclusion, although migrating is characterized by drawbacks such as requiring a lot of money and causing homesickness, it seems to me that the benefits of it are more significant for the reasons mentioned.
