Nature is the origin of all existence.Humanity not only consume and exploit it but also contribute to its pollution. So I totally agree with the proposition that safeguarding the environment is the most vital mission now for our subsequent generations.
From one standpoint, if measures are not implemented now, it will be too late for the young generations, it will result in irreversible damage to both individuals and environment. For instance the excessive release of greenhouse gases has led to global warming, graciers melting ,and sea level rising will soon.take place. They pose the threats not just in human settlement but also the diversity of ecosystems .
However, some opponents contend that other assignments, such as economic development, have a higher priority than protecting the environment, as it brings timely benefits and improvement in living welfare. But this prospective is unsustainable. Long-term economic thrive is based on a healthy environment. The unregulated exploitation of natural resources like oil exhausted, not only hinder future generation’s development but also weaken the ecological balance.
In conclusion, protecting the environment is an urgent and essential task that demands the corporate efforts to secure a sustainable and prosperous future for later generations.
