In modern day, animal testing in medical research has become a important topic. Many individuals claim that it should be banned however, others believe that it is crucial. In this essay I will give both views and in conclusion I will give my opinion.
Firstly, animals are used in many important scientific research. It is very necessary to do medical tests on new drugs. Without tests we cannot identify the diseases. Many important medical discoveries involved experimentations on animals. For instance, in COVID pandemic scientists do many test on animals to identify the main reasons of breathing problems and after that they make vaccinations for it. Furthermore, it is necessary to do research for medical purposes however, if people do not do so there is a risk to human causality. In addition, some medical research and scientific experiments cannot use in human body.
On the other hand, people have no moral right to do animal testing. Animals are important for eco-system. Additionally, it is cruel, if it is just done for publish papers. For example, Humpback wheal plays a vital role in absorbing CO2, Paul Watson fight against the Japanese governments to protect Humpback wheal. Japanese fisherman killed approximately 40000 wheal for extract oil. Consequently, these type of wheal now almost extinct however, at least Paul gain support from others and banned wheal fishing. Moreover, in cosmetics industry animal testing are totally banned. Similarly, there are many more alternative way to do such tests. A good illustrations of these computer simulations is another way to do research. Ultimately, animal lives should be respected.
In conclusion, in my view we have many other alternative option to do medical research and computer simulations is the best technique. Also, we should show respect to animal lives, and yet they are crucial part of our eco-system.
