Nowadays, many countries face different social problems involving teenagers, such as bad behaviour, bullying and crime. Some people believe that these problems happen because parents spend too much time working and not enough time with their children.I partly agree with this opinion because parental attention is important, although there are other factors.
Firstly, when parents are busy with their jobs, they may not have enough time to communicate with their children. As a result, teenagers can feel lonely and unsupported. They might start looking for attention in the wrong places or spend time with people who have a negative influence on them. For instance, some teenagers may join groups that encourage bad behaviour because they want to feel accepted.
Secondly, parents play an important role in teaching their children good values and helping them make the right decisions. If parents do not pay enough attention to their children’s lives, they may not notice problems at an early stage. For example,a teenager who is being bullied at school may be afraid to talk about it.Without support from parents, this situation can become more difficult to deal with.
However,I believe that parents are not the only reason for these problems.Social media, pressure from friends and the school environment can also influence teenagers’ behaviour.
In conclusion,I partly agree that parents spending too much time at work can contribute to social problems among teenagers. In my opinion, children need not only financial support but also attention, understanding and guidance from their parents.A good balance between work and family life can help teenagers make better choices.
