Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Given the importance of tertiary education in the modern age, the question about the popularity of university entrance exams is looming large. While it is a common assumption that these competitions can offer students numerous chances to get their ticket into their dream school, however, it still pose dangerous health risks. Overall, this trend still has its benefits and can be a positive development for youngsters.

It is undeniable that opposition to fierce competition for admission to higher education is understandable for many reasons. The increasing pressure to excel in entrance exams often increases stress levels, anxiety, and mental health challenges among students. This phenomenon is evident in education-centric countries like China, where students endure sleepless nights and exhaustion in pursuit of coveted positions in prestigious universities. More seriously, such adverse effects on students’ mental health can act as a precursor to deterioration in their long-term health development.

However, it should be recognized that academics are very competitive, and tests are equally vital for self-development and assured motivation. First and foremost, it serves as a motivator for students to strive for greatness and reach their full potential. When confronted with a uniformly competitive atmosphere, students are motivated to become more focused and disciplined to attain their objectives, perhaps stimulating the required physical goods to enhance their lives, including morals. Individuals who manage and flourish in tough competition frequently foster similar characteristics in their future undertakings, resulting in higher professional contentment. The fact that the majority of graduates may succeed can help the country enter an era of long-term prosperity.

In conclusion, increased competition in college admissions will increase stress levels among students, but more significantly, promote personal growth as well as economic prosperity. Therefore, students should equip themselves with the necessary methods to manage their anxiety because it will help prepare them to enhance success in the later stages of life.
