Cause And Solution

Band 9: Nowadays, youngsters try to be rich and famous. What are the causes of this? What are the solutions for this?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In today’s world, many young people dream of becoming rich and famous. They often see this as the easiest way to achieve happiness, success, and respect in society. Instead of focusing on education or developing useful skills, some youngsters believe that money and popularity will solve all their problems. This essay will discuss the main reasons for this trend and suggest some practical solutions.

One important reason is the strong influence of social media and modern celebrity life. Platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube show luxury lifestyles, expensive cars, and glamorous holidays. These images are often edited or exaggerated, but young people may not realise this. As a result, they begin to think that becoming famous online is the only way to live a happy life. In addition, peer pressure makes the problem worse. Many teenagers want to gain likes, followers, and attention on social media. They feel proud when others notice them, which creates the idea that popularity is more valuable than knowledge or character. Another problem is the lack of career guidance in schools. Students often do not receive enough information about different professions or long-term goals. This makes it easier for them to focus only on quick success through fame and money.

To solve this issue, several steps can be taken. First, schools should include media literacy lessons, so students learn to think critically about what they see online. This will help them avoid comparing themselves with unrealistic lifestyles. Second, schools should provide stronger career advice and introduce students to successful people who achieved their goals through hard work, creativity, and patience. Parents and teachers also play a big role. They should teach children the importance of values such as honesty, confidence, and perseverance. Furthermore, governments and organisations can organise awareness campaigns to show the risks of chasing fame, such as stress, depression, or loss of privacy.

In conclusion, the desire among young people to be rich and famous is mainly caused by social media, peer pressure, and poor career education. However, by improving media awareness, offering better career support, and teaching positive values, society can guide the younger generation to set more realistic and meaningful goals in life.

Many museums charge for admission while others are free. Do you think the advantages of charging people for admission to museums outweigh the disadvantages?

Some museums have an admission charge while some do not. In my opinion, the drawbacks of an entrance fee are eclipsed by its benefits in the sense that the income will be ploughed back into operation and development of the museums. A major disadvantage of an admission fee is the possibility of reducing the number […]
