When young learners go to educational instituition, teachers pose a huger impact on their intellectual and social growth than parents. As far as I am concerned, I firmly disagree with this view, and the reasons are justified below.
Admittedly, it is understandable why some believe that teachers have a greater influence on the comprehensive development of students. They might think that schools is getting a second home for children, so the role of teachers are flexible ranging from an educationalist to a mother. In this day and age, the amount of time spent by children for their parents could be less than that for their teachers; therefore, apart from teaching essential knowledge, they take responsibility to teach life basic skills like communication and cooporation via organizing recreational acitivities at school. As a result, the development of students are likely to depend on school the most.
On the other hand, despite the above-mentioned argument, I still believe that closest relatives should take charge of moulding and refining their children’s social development. While schools often play a vital role in most prospects of children, parents always contribute remarkably to the overall development of them. For example, at weekend, families often have short-term trips together to not only bond the relationship of members, but also create an adequate environment to help children growth in a right way between at school and at home. As a result, young people can be ensured to live at a standard and happy life to develop effectively.
All things considered, these days, whle the role of teachers at school is larger than in the past in which they would teach important knowledge and life skills that used to be impacted by others in the past, parents would still be an indispensable factor for children’s social development.
