Parents need to legally held account for their offsprings’ conducts. This essay disagrees with this statement because they do not have full authority upon a child actions, and punishing parents could lead to lower childbirth.
Firstly, many parents have less control over the children actions. This is to say, most of them stay at the schools during the day time, and there are school staffs who are looking after them, if they do mistakes, it is inappropriate to blame parents, and charge with the legal forms. For example, if two children fight, and severly hurt each other, it is not lawful to charge the parents rather than the school because they need to be monitor them.
Furthermore, giving a state punishment to the parents for their children’s behaviour could lead to a lower childbirth. In other words, they will become frightened of having a child because it will create an unnecessay burden and pressure of being punished without any fault. For instance, in Australia, many parents live without bearing a child because they believe that it is hard to follow the government instructions of child safety, and if they do not comply with the rules the parents are seen as the responsible individuals.
In conclusion, I do not believe that parents should be the reponsible ones for their children actions, as they do no have full command on their children actions, and punishment is not a solution for this, as it may decrease the number of infants in the future.
