Some argue that educators and legal guardians create a lot of regulations for youngsters to keep them safe from threats, While others believe that it would be much more advantageous for children if they had more freedom and privileges. Even though I accept that controlling youths under rules has a lot of benefits, I think the advantages of having more freedom outweighs its cons, thus I partially agree with the statement.
First of all, youngsters are people who have not fully developed yet, therefore they don’t know exactly what risking is, meaning they are not aware of any risks they are taking, which might lead to them suffering from any kind of threats. In short, they are not really aware of what they do, thus regulations keep them safe from harm and help them develop good behavior alongside life skills. For instance, rules about smoking and drinking alcohol protect children from any potential harmful diseases that might come as a cost of their actions.
On the other hand, less regulations might result in children being more creative and open minded for the reason that they are not afraid of anything and can express themselves. For instance, most of the people who work in high status occupations and companies are usually the ones who had most freedom when they were young, therefore they can think creatively and defend their ideas, meaning they can stand for their words. Finally, more privileges make a child better in most ways.
In conclusion, I partially agree that less regulations would be more beneficial for children, because even though controlling youth under rules is an important factor for their success, freedom is much more important and advantageous if given under control.
