Band 5+: Parents should encourage their childer to study less and do more physical activities. To which extent do you agree or disagree.

The assertion that there is a necessity to do more physical exercises rather than studying for students has sparked a contentious debate among parents. From my perspective, I partially concur with this statement; nevertheless, I still believe that physical training plays a vital part in the growth of youngsters.

On the one hand, there are some arguments why studying is still important. Firstly, it provides the young generation with essential skills before entering the workforce. To explain, when parents encourgae their children to study at education institutions properly, they would usually have to work and communicate with others, hence improving a strong sense of teamwork and communication, which are useful for them to land a decent job in the future. Secondly, studying is also a way for parents to keep youngsters from playing games. Specifically, spending hours on lessons can tire children entirely, so they would not have any left energy to squander their time on games and get themselves a nap in lieu of.

On the other hand, despite all the aforementioned plus point of parents’s incentives their children to study hard, I still contend that doing physical exercises are more beneficial to the young generation. First, doing exercises regularly prevents obesity. To illustrate, recently in Vietnam, the number of children gaining weight uncontrollably has increased significantly, leading to a tremendous volumn of youngsters being bullied due to their different appearances. Taking up physical exercises can help burn calories, hence ensuring that thay would not gain any excessive weight. Moreover, exercises could enhance children’s well-being. In detail, it is true that training physically can boots immune system, which prevents illness and infecious diseases, so parents should encourage their children to exercise more regularly to gain a better health. This could not be done by studying all days without any physical activities.

In conclusion, although it is necessary for parents to encourage their children to study properly, I still say that taking up physical exercises can offer a wide range of desired effects. However, students should spend time for both studying and exercising, so that they can not only have a sharp mind, but also a fit body.
