Band 4: People are moving towards urban areas more as compare to rural areas so what is the outcome of this notion? (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 2 Essay)

Now a days an increasing trend of population moving towards cities from rural areas in enhancing.This essay will discuss the positive and negative outcomes of this topic.However,I believe it is a negative development.

The rapid influx of people moving towards urban areas is causing many problems.Firstly,it is causing traffic congestion as a flood of people is moving from suburbs to the developed areas .More the people means that maximum vehicles will be seen on the roads.Therefore,it blocks the traffic most of the times and many accidents also occurs due to uncontrolled traffic.

Other than this,due to this heavy migration from rural to urban areas the clearance of agricultural lands is seen.This clearance is happening in order to provide accommodation to the people who are coming to the developed cities.The agricultural lands are converting into residential areas that will ultimately lead to the depletion of crops one day.Hence,it is a substantial forthcoming threat.

However,some people believe that it’s not entirely a negative development because in their opinion people find many pros of moving to cities.For instance,there are many highly reputated schools with amazing faculty here in cities which can provide better educational facilities to Students.Along with that cities also provides with crucial job opportunities with some handsome wages.

To sum it up,for me this is still a negative development as it is threatening for the future generations.As this is going to cause depletion of resources and it will also never lead to the development of suburbs if all the people will be attracted towards cities.

Fewer and fewer parents these days are smacking their children. Some people think that this is leading to a generation of misbehaved children. Do you agree or disagree with this view?
