Nowadays, some people argue that individuals should be allowed to keep all their income and should not be required to pay taxes to the government. While this idea may seem attractive because people would have more disposable income, I completely disagree. In my opinion, taxation is essential for funding public services and improving countries.
One of the main reasons why taxes are necessary is that they provide governments with financial resources for public services such as schools, hospitals, roads, and public transportations. Without sufficient funding, these services would decline in quality, reducing the overall standard of living. For example, government have to provide large budgets to hospitals for purchase modern medical equipment and medical staff.
Furthermore, paying taxes helps reduce social inequality and supports economic development. People from all income groups benefit from public infrastructure, including roads, public transport, and public services. Therefore, it is reasonable that everyone should maintaining these services through taxation. In addition, governments use tax revenue to provide financial assistance, unemployment benefits, and educational support, which helping create a more equal society.
In conclusion, although people wish to keep all their money, I strongly believe that paying taxes is both a social responsibility and practical necessity. Taxation enables governments to provide essential public services and promote the well-being of society.
