Some might argue that compared with previous centuries, people who are living in the modern era have a higher quality of life. I completely agree with this opinion, as the twenty-first century has provided society with relatively better living conditions.
It is argued that, generally, the living standards of the population are at a higher level compared to those of their predecessors. Unlike in the past, people are enjoying a more convenient and favourable life with the widespread distribution of technology and the development of countries. Two main problems people faced in earlier centuries were a lack of education, which resulted in many hardships in earning a living, and a feeling of being unsafe that lasted for long periods, as there were lots of wars going on constantly between regions throughout history. Technology has not only offered solutions to these issues but has also made many tasks much easier for the current generation. Nowadays, there are many educational opportunities through both online and offline learning, and mobile devices are the most significant factor in online learning because they provide several benefits. It has become increasingly popular, especially among young adults, to learn many skills online since mobile phones provide them with flexible and quick learning opportunities. Additionally, artificial intelligence has made life much easier by helping people with everyday tasks such as homework and workloads. When learners are studying but are not capable of understanding a topic fully, they can simply ask for a detailed and simplified explanation, or even adults can take advantage of it by getting help with schedules that are usually created on computers.
Another significant change is the economic and political development of governments. A stronger economy offers many significant opportunities for a better life in terms of medication and education. When a country’s funding is substantial, it can provide such fields with more money, which results in advanced healthcare and educational institutions. For instance, in my country, children whose ages are between five and seven study a variety of subjects in schools for eleven years without any payment. Eventually, they become educated individuals, which gives them the opportunity to find a secure job and achieve a safe and desirable life. Financial stability allows them to live without any worries for the rest of their lives.
To conclude, I believe that populations are witnessing much higher living standards compared with individuals from earlier generations, owing to the contribution of technological developments and the economic growth of countries.
