Many people claim that residents who start to live in a new country should follow the country’s cultures such as customs and traditions. In my perspective the cultures are one the most important things in each country so i strongly agree with this opinion for some reasons.
To start with, if the settlers don’t follow the cultures in a new country, they will face a significant amount of difficulties in their life. Firstly, people who live in a new country often find trouble to start a business or get a new job because they do not have the abilities to know local business customs in order to be successful. Moreover, the residents who haven’t got any knowledge about the traditions, making the local people angry about their illegal action. Take Singapore as an example. Some new residents who start to live in this country always feel shocked with the country’s traditions. Because of the country imposes a rule that nobody has permission to throw any trash in the public area. Furthermore, some people also find it hard to adapt to the new environment of business.
On the other hand, people who follow the cultures of the country receive numerous benefits. Firstly, By following the customs and traditions of a country, the newcomers have the ability to integrate with the society. Additionally, those people will have more opportunities to make new friends. Compared to people who do not follow the cultures, residents who follow the traditions and customs can participate in a significant number of events and festivals. For instance, the settlers in VietNam who follow the cultures integrate with the society easily, and they enjoy numerous of VietNam’s traditional festivals.
To sum up, by following the cultures of a new country, the newcomers will have various advantages such as easier to make friends, more integration, and enjoy new festival events.
