In this modern world, technology is getting developed more and more. This causes a huge number of digital devices produced to meet the demands of entertaining. One of them is reading, a basic activities that people occasionally do in their leisure time. There a lot of individuals reckon that people who read books normally imagine better than TV viewers. In my opinion, I totally agree with this statement. This essay will discuss both views of the given two points and provide my personal statement.
On the one hand, there are a lot of reasons why people who read books tend to have vivid imagination. One of them is about reading can keep their brain active. To explain, books have a lot of material about specific matters and if a person is attracted by a topic, his knowledge would increase a lot in that area. Moreover, there are numerous types of books, each of them would lead readers into different stories. By immersing on these intriguing stories, which are created by imagination, people can easily enjoy their own stories.
On the other hand, while reading benefits your thinking and creativity, watching TV improves your observation skill. With the combination of visual effects and vocal presentation, one can concentrate on scenes which are being delivered on the screen. However, comparing with reading books, it’s obvious that readers’ imagination tend to be more vibrant than those who watch TV. Readers often have various views on different topics, but watchers are less likely to do that as they are fixed to particular scenes, which can gradually decrease their imagination.
To sum up, whether reading gives you more information about a topic, television also plays a crucial role in building individuals’ fanciness. In my opinion, there should be more harmonious mixtures to balance personal needs.
