The growth of the economy caused two most detrimental consequences involved environmental damages and pollution. There is an argument that these environmental problems are parallel and cannot be avoided within the country’s development. From my perspective, I strongly hold the view against this aforementioned idea due to several reasons.
On the one hand, environment should be prioritized due to its important role in boosting other related industries. Since the basic ingredients are solely provided by the nature, if a country’s government does not pay their attention to protecting natural resources, it will lead to a loss of an essential supply, not only threatening the manufacturing process but also interrupted the country’s development as well as profit. For example, petroleum industry, which is a great contributor to the economic growth, produced based on natural minerals; however, within the lack of appropriate governmental legislation, there is an uncontrolled utilization which gradually turns out to be a loss of minerals for basic needs.
What is more, the government should establish politics of balancing the rate of natural utilization and the country developing process. As aforementioned role of the environment providing all human-being basic needs, if their aim is to make a higher profit in economy as well as meet the higher demand of their citizens, initially coming up with a solution to tackle the environmental damages and pollution will lead to an advanced society within higher rate of biodiversity. Furthermore, having a well-balanced developing policy results in better living conditions and surroundings for citizens as there is a parallel improvement both in their surroundings and facilities.
In conclusion, a balance between environment care and developing demand should be taken into consideration to come to a better society. It is essential to initially remain a sustainable and eco-friendly development and boost the country’s profit after.
