Water is the most indespensable matter on the earth as there is no single creature can live without water. So, contaminting water sources is a foundmental problem that threatens human and animal lives. Human is the major cause of water pollution by domestic, agricultural, and industrial wastes.
the causes of water contamination are diversely many, including the rubbish of large cities, and the by-products of agriculture, and industry. Firstly, big cities secrete enormous amount of wastes everyday in the seas , oceans and the rivers, including sewagethat is contaminated with many bacteria and pathogens. In addition it harbours vast amount of plastics. Secondly, pesticides used in agriculture are released in rivers spoiling them, in addition to herbicides that are used to control parasitic herbs. Thirdly, the chemicals and waste products that result from industrial processes are poured in oceans and seas. These are the major sources that can make water unclean and unusefull.
Water sources as rivers, lakes, and seas are a biodiverse communities containing a tramendous number of creatures including animals and plants. The pollution of water has a deterimantal effects on theses communities and on humans as well. Fish will be the most affected animal by water pollution, specially by pesticides, herbicides, and toxic industrial products that can kill the majority of fish. In addition to livestoke animals that are drinking this water will have their meat and milk contaminated with poisonous heavy metals. On the other hand, the effect on human has direct and indirect ways. Directly, drinking unsafe water will lead to serious health problems, may be leading to death; however, indirect consumption of contaminated animal meat, fish, or milk will also, deteriorate his health.
