Nowadays, there are numerous unlawful acts happening around us due to many reasons. Providing proper awareness through the education system can effectively reduce these problems. However, some people accept the fact that the criminal activities can be reduced by imprisonment. In my opinion, they are in combination can make the difference in the society. Both the views are discussed in this essay.
On the one hand, many believe that severe punishments are solutions for reducing the crimes. Few countries have strict laws for the criminals to ensure the safety of the society from illegal activities. For instance, the attempted murder cases are considered as the most dreadful acts and then the accused person is sentenced to death. These actions on crime committing persons, which will greatly increase the fear of public about the powerful laws.
On the other hand, the education plays an important role in the future of citizens. By creating the awareness about the results of the crimes, there is a possibility to change the behavior of the individuals. It is the responsibility of parents and teachers to teach the children about the ethics in their younger stage. The moral books and guidance of the ancestors are sources to enlighten the society. The education not only provide the knowledge but also ensure the discipline of people.
In conclusion, even though after the persons have released from the jails, they are continuing to commit the dangerous activities. I believe that both the actions are required for betterment of people.
