Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

It is often argued that procrastination in the younger generation is increasing to a dangerous level. This essay will discuss the main reason behind this growing trend and will propose the practical solution to address them.

The main reason behind the increasing procrastination among teenagers is the usage of smartphones by them for unlimited time. Using smartphones and watching social media without any restriction can result in delaying the actions due for now to another time, so increasing the burden of work on the youth. They watch movies, post on social media, use video call features and also spend a significant portion of the day playing video games on smartphones, leading to the delay of essential activities to another day or can also cause the permanent missing of the oppurtunities. For instance, according to a study, more than 50% of students who are using smartphones without any restriction have got low grades compared to those who studied without smartphones.

One of the most effective solutions to tackle this pressing problem is the restricted use of smartphones and internet. Digital devices such as smartphones, laptops and other internet based tools must be restricted for teenagers to control the unlimited usage of these tools by them. In addition, the controlled utilization of social media can also be beneficial for the adult students and ultimately will lead them to get high grades and perform well in their academics. For example, studies show that parental control on smartphones and social media result in 50% improvement in students’ grades.

In conclusion, it is increasingly argued that youngsters are developing the habit of procrastination with a higher speed because of the over usage of smartphones and social media, which can be solved with the help of parental control and restricted utilization of digital tools including smartphones.
