Success has different definitions for every individual on the universe. Some people measure success based on the amount of money possessed by an individual whereas others disagree with this statement. As far as I am concerned, I strongly disagree with the statement mentioned above and essay will cover the reasons as to why growth should not be measured in monetary terms.
To commence with, a person can define growth based on the goal accomplished. To elaborate, the vision matters for evaluation of the attainment as a person might not be that rich but the thoughts he holds might have got him fame and name in life. For instance, Elon musk has a lot of money and is one of the richest person on Earth. But, based on his thought he will consider himself successful when he will attain his goal of starting life on mars. As mentioned above, the monetary world does not hold significance in life but the approach to life does.
In addition to this, other people can measure their success when they have fulfilled their responsibities with a positive outcome. Parents always are concerned on settling their children and provide them with all the facilities that can lead them to a successful individual. For example, In India, there is a culture of big fat wedding and Indian parents try to get their offsprings married and settled to the best they can. They consider themselves an accomplished Indian after marrying all their children.
To conclude, money is essential element for human survival but cannot be considered the sole measurer of success. There are responsibilities and goal that can hold important place in heart of people to categorize themselves as successful.
