A. At present, different government bodies on globally are encouraging the production of indigenous goods and services as a part of boosting the local economy. Groceries should sell local food products instead of foreign food items. In my opinion, I totally agree with this statement as it is contributing to certain positive development.
To begin with, the role of regional produced commodities in a country are really plays a vital role in the economy of a countries. For that, the stores in a particular region have to accept more local products for sale to improve the internal cash flow to the local market. By this way, small scale industries in the area can introduce their products to markets and it will help them to grow and increase the money inflow in that particular region which would nourish the gross economy of particular region. For instance, on 2023 Government of India has declared an amendment bill which is for reducing the tax slab to a lower one for Micro small-scale enterprises to encourage the indigenous products of country.
Furthermore, by promoting the sale of local food item in stores can contribute in other ways as well. In addition, it will create more business and job opportunities for local residents. On the current scenario, people are being struggled due to lack of Job opportunities as a part of forecasting recession in future. Therefore, this will be an advantage for majority of jobless candidates to an extent. Besides, this will be helping the overall development of the area and residents in multiple ways.
To sum up, I strongly agree with that, the stores should accept the sale of locally produced food products instead of imported food products as it is having significant positive effects on the growth of economy and reducing unemployment rate.
