There is no denying that the rapid development of technology, in recent years, has brought significant changes to various sectors, including education. Some argue that with the continuous advancement of technology, schools might no longer need to hire teachers to educate instead of using technology to do that. While there are many supporting ideas to totally use technology in education, I partially agree and partially disagree with those.
On one hand, technology has indeed transformed how students learn, making education more effectively. Through the internet, students can access a vast range of information in studying lessons any time and anywhere. Online platform like educational apps and videos offer interactive learning experiences that can complement classroom teaching. For instance, people can take online courses or use software like Duolingo to study new languages at their own pace. Such tools make students more personalized in learning and allow them tailor learning experience.
On the other hand, the role of teachers is not only transferring knowledge to students but also shaping their social, emotional and moral development. Teachers play an irreplaceable role in personal connection, which no machine or software can replace. For example, teachers help students develop critical thinking skills by encourage them to question and analyze in discussion. Additionally, teachers can provide knowledge based on their emotional needs and learning environments.
In conclusion, while technology has its positives, it cannot fully replace the human elements that teachers bring to the classroom.
