Investigations related to new types of medicine are vital to develop health and cope with disease. There are 3 type source of funding: governments, private companies and individuals. I supposed that goverments and private companies are crucial factors in funding. Each source of funding has its own advantages and drawbacks and a balanced approach may be more effective.
Firstly, private companies have crucial role in medicine research. Some private companies have significant financial resources and they can achieve rapid innovation and development of new treatments by allocating fund for it. Thanks to this funding they can make a substantial profit; however, profit motive can trigger a focus on certain types of medicine that are more profitable than others that are most needed. For instance, treatment for rare disease or those that primarily affect poorer populations may be neglected. As a result, while funding to medicine research by private companies can lead to necessary development, there are some detrimental effects on certain segment of people.
Secondly, goverments can contribute considerably to medical research through public funding. Public funding can be directed to areas of greatest need including neglected diseases and public health challenges. Goverment-funded research brings about advent of new medicine that are accessible for all walks of life. Albeit, goverment funding can be exposed to political influences and budget constrains. Thus, goverment funding is preferable source for medical research, but it can cause political and economic issues.
In conclusion, funding by private companies and goverments is more plausible for research into new types of medicine. By combining the financial resources of private companies and public funding of goverments, it can be possible to establish robust system for developing new medicine.
