It is often debated whether economically advanced countries often provide financial help to underdeveloped countries; consequently, it does not tackle long-term poverty. This is why some think that wealthy countries should give other aid to underprivileged populations instead of providing stable funds. While financial assistance may provide short-term relief, it often fails to address the underlying causes of poverty. I firmly believe that highly developed nations should provide stability in clothes, food, medicine, and well-equipped school facilities to economically fragile countries.

Admittedly, nowadays, many wealthy countries show support by providing financial assistance to economically vulnerable nations. However, these supportive actions do not go further, because many authorities in poorer countries may steal the funds instead of allocating more funds to social and national development. For instance, in some developing countries, corruption and weak governance can lead to the misappropriation of foreign aid, preventing financial assistance from reaching vulnerable communities. As a result, the money given to charity fails to tackle the causes of poverty, such as inadequate education, poor healthcare, and underdeveloped infrastructure.

Instead of relying solely on financial assistance, developed countries should provide technical expertise, vocational training, and technological transfer. These forms of support help develop institutional capacity and become more self-reliant; this can be a considerable reason for leading to sustainable economic development in the long term. For instance, if countries transfer their modern innovations to transform their infrastructure and reconstruct ancient monuments, this attracts many tourists and leads to an increase in the rate of tourism. In other words, countries should provide high-value facilities for schools to encourage students to study; this might be a significant cause for improving the country’s reputation and development through qualified specialists.

In conclusion, although financial assistance can temporarily reduce the effects of poverty, it is not an effective long-term solution because it is often mismanaged and fails to address the root causes of the problem. Therefore, I strongly believe that developed countries should focus on providing practical support, such as technology, education, healthcare, and vocational training, as these measures enable developing nations to become more self-sufficient and achieve sustainable economic growth.

Generally, developed countries often provide financial aid to developing nations. However, this assistance is not appropriate to address the problem of poverty. When rich countries provide financial help to low-income nations, this support does not seem to yield any tangible results in improving the situation. This has led some people to question whether nations should take different measures and help in other ways, and I completely agree with this view. Monetary aid hardly improves the socioeconomic condition […]

Historical objects should be returned around the world to their country of origin. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is often argued that the artifacts currently housed in institutions across the globe should be repatriated to the nations from which they originated. Environmental issues are never easily resolved by a single entity within a short period of time.
