It is a common belief that schools should focus on teaching how to be successful in the workforce and less on helping them achieve academic success.I partly agree with this viewpoint.
It is clear that employers value skills over grades. So students who have experience in the workforce can have more chances in looking for work in the future.IndeedThere are many graduates who have high academic results but lack work skill, while companies prioritize individuals having problem solving and teamwork skills. For example, in Germany, they don’t prefer qualification, they more focus on quality of work. As a result, they become one of the most economically developed countries in the world. So student should be taught how to successful in the workforce
Despite the benefit of that view, academic success should not be ignored. Academic subjects provide a wide range of knowledge, which makes a way for developing critical thinking skills. Moreover, without academic preparation, students may find it difficult to pursue higher education. In terms of employees, doctors, lawyers, engineers, they must study until ensure can do it accurately because those jobs have a direct impact on people.notably academic success alow student to adapt to new career in the future
in conclusion, in my opinion, school should balance attention both teaching student how to be successful in workforce and achieve academic success
