Teaching youngsters well conduct is essential step for society and future. Some individuals state that school is responsible for this, while others believe parents are the ones to teach good manners and life lessons. In my opinion, both school and parents play key roles in fostering proper behaviour.
School is a crucial element in shaping how young people should conduct, as it provides numerous opportunities for social learning. Since they spend most of their time in school, they are consistently exposed to rules, discipline, interactions with peers and authority figures. In this setting students learn to follow guidelines, demonstrate respect and develop essential social skills. For instance, numerous educational institutions enforce rules that promote respectful behavior, such as raising hands before speaking and listening attentively to others. Additionally, schools often implement character development programs, like peer mentoring system, which encourages kindness, responsibility and mutual understanding. By stimulating a positive environment, schools act as a fundamental influence in shaping children’s moral and social development.
Although schools contribute significantly to shaping children’s behavior, parents also serve to shape the basic character traits of the youngsters. From an early age juveniles imitate their parents’ actions, observing values such as honesty, respect, and empathy. For example, parents who model polite communication, patience and sympathy at home create an environment where children naturally adopt these behaviors. Furthermore, setting positive behavior through discipiline helps young people to understand the consequences of their actions. As parental guidance begins before a child enters school, it remains a main factor in forming his character as an individual.
