It is argued that researchers and technologists have more significance than musicians and artists. This essay completely agrees with that statement. I believe that not only do technologists have an extremely complicated job, but also people are increasingly concerned about future advancements in technology.
Firstly, scientists and engineers work for the betterment of the whole world, while performers and craftsmen work for personal fulfillment. In other words, engineers and researchers analyze using different testing methods, make discoveries, and find solutions to problems occurring during the process in order to help people live easier. For instance, my uncle has recently discovered a portable GPS tracker specifically for children. Not only did he work on it for years, but he also spent all his money on the process of creation.
Secondly, those working in the technological field have to finish their bachelor’s and master’s degrees in university in order to work in this field. That is, whereas artists and musicians may create their masterpieces without a degree in their respective fields, scientists and technicians cannot. My grandma is an example of this. She had to learn subjects such as physics and chemistry at an advanced level, learn how to use laboratory objects, and only then start her career in the scientific sector.
In conclusion, for a high percentage of population, scientists and technologists are valued more than artists and songwriters. I truly believe that the technology industry and the scientific field are hard jobs and require a higher level of education and expertise for a career.
