Whether the government should allocated funds to develop space tourism to enhance scientfic progression and economic growth or find solutions to Earth’s problems is a debatable topic. I firmly believe that the funds should be used to solve the problems on Earth.
An investement in a development of space tourism can help the government to generate revenue. The space tourism programmes may interest people to take a tour of different planets. People will spend money to experience life on other planests. This money will go in the government’s account and they can use this money in the economic growth and the support of scientific researchers. For example, if aerospace scientists will suceed to find life on mars, they can launch programmes with the help of the government for the public to give an experience about life on mars.
Investing in Earth’s problems can improve peoples’ life span. Earth is suffering from several pollutions like air, water, land, and noise pollutions. If the state invest in technology to reduce these pollutions, people would rarely fall sick. This can result in improved climate and environment for living which can help people to stay healthy. For instance, air pollution is a common problem due to increase in motor vehicles; the government can invest in electrical vehicles to reduce the air pollution. In my opinion, investing in earth’s problem would be a more appropriate choice because it can help the earth to be a better place of living by planting more trees for fresh air, and investin in electric cars to reduce noise and air pollution. Moreover, the money can be used to improve the quality of soil. That way, many problems can be solved.
