People have different views on whether government should spend their money to protect the minority languages. While some people believe that this approach might bring many detrimental effects, I would firmly argue that this measure might have many potential benefits.
It is understandable why this approach might be considered as a waste of money. The first reason is that the government have to spend a huge amount of money on many campaigns and projects to encourage the students to enroll, leading to the shortage of the government’s budget. As a result, the welfare and finance aids using to enhance the standard of living of many individuals might be cut down, which might lead to many problems in society.
However, I strongly agree that these minority languages should be protected for the long term benefits of countries. Firstly, the language might be the vital key for citizens to maintain their country’s traditions. In different countries, there might be the differences between how people comunicate with each others, and this lead to the diversity in cultures of many countries. The language may be the unvaluable properties that prove their own cutures and traditions. Secondly, learning language also the way for many individuals to cultivate their patriotism. People might have more chance to adapt to the texts about the history of their country’s language, so they might have the profound understanding about their cultures and traditions.
In conclusion, while using money for protecting minor languages purposes might have some negative effects, I believe this approach might help the countries develop many aspects of their countries.
