Currently, purchasing things in a shopping centre becomes prominent lifestyle among young people in many cities around the word. This essay will try to identify the cause and negative impact of this trend.
On one hand, adolescences who live in metropole area spend most of their activities to work during the weekdays; hence, they only have less time and energy at the end of the week. Unfortunately, in many cities, the number of shopping centre are surpassing the public space and causing limitation for people to enjoy outdoor activities and they becoming familiar with shopping places; therefore, most people are likely to spend their times in shopping mall, because these places offer variety of items to be purchased for example : food, clothing, and groceries, and people can buy things according to their needs, so this activity become part of their habit.
On the other hand, shopping can become instant gratification and spending amount of money to purchase items constantly can make individuals become spendthrift, for instance by buying goods that they do not really require. Moreover, the government can provide more public spaces, where this place can do many activities, such as exercising and socializing, as a result people can reduce their tendency for shopping.
By Way of conclusion, the rising trend of shopping is mostly caused by people who have limited time to spend their free time and lack of public space. I’m certain people who are not spend their money wisely can have financial problems in the future, also, the government can help by providing more public spaces to solve this issue.
