With the transformation of technological advancements, it has become increasingly common for students of all ages to use their electronic devices at schools, especially in urban areas. While the use of smartphones has a detrimental impact on their studies, I believe that there are clear reasons behind using gadgets due to wide range of accessibility.
Critics of using phones at schools cite various reasons to support their stance. By utilizing their electronic devices and surfing the internet platforms, schoolchildren are more likely to allocate a significant amount of energy and attention to social media owing to their addictiveness and distracting content. In response to these transformations, it seems logical for young people to rely heavily on their gadgets while carrying out their daily tasks. A good illustration could be found in Western communities, where youngsters depend entirely on their phones to complete their homework and assignments. As a consequence, their overall performance and scores significantly decline compared to previous results.
However, despite these arguments, in my view, using smartphones in the right way has a positive effect on both their professional and personal lives. When students lack access to sufficient information in their books and libraries, they tend to use the internet platforms, such as ChatGPT, Google and Chrome to access a wide array of different educational content and information. In this way, many young villagers also access the online resources and interact with their peers because of fast internet connection. Considering these circumstances, it is not surprising to see youngsters communicating with their relatives and friends by using their electronic tools.
In conclusion, although addictiveness and distracting content, which come from social media can distract students from their attention, I am convinced that using their computers or mobile devices would be beneficial for both their professional and personal lives due to their a wide range of accessibility in both urban and rural areas.
