People hold differing views regarding the responsibility of public health. Some argue that people must be conscious about their choices in maintaining their health and eating habits, whereas others think that policymakers and food company must be held accountable for well-being of their citizens. In this essay I will discuss both perspectives before reaching a conclusion.
On the one hand, individuals must be self-aware about their health status and the nutrition that is available in their staple diet. This is because people can live a healthy life if their eating habits are modified in a way that will protect them from suffering various health conditions. Additionally, every person should seek medical attention if they feel unwell as soon as possible. For instance, if people ignore their health condition, it might get worse, causing them harm in various ways.
On the other hand, the state must actively make policies regarding the public health and regularly inspect food industries to maintain quality of food products that the consumers take. This is mainly because, every person has health rights, which include medical checkups and medicines that the government provide to people who are below poverty line. For example, government should make more hospital in rural places, where people have less access to life-saving medicines in case of emergency.
In conclusion, public health is a concerning issue. Both individuals and the governments must join hands to prevent health conditions. However, I believe that every person should care for themselves to tackle consequnces of various health condition and choose healthy diet for their overall well-being just because it is our responsibility to take care of ourself while making health choices instead of relying on the governments.
