Some people argue that individuals must take responsibility for protecting the environment, while others believe it is a government’s responsibility. This essay will discuss both perspectives, and in my opinion, I favor the latter.
To begin with, administration is recommended to preserve the environment. As the legal authority of a nation, the government’s rules must be followed by citizens. It is effective for governments to raise awareness among their populations to minimize deforestation, reduce emission of harmful chemicals into the rivers, and to safeguard ecosystems. For example, in past few decades, rapid development of industries in developing countries has led to extensive deforestation, resulting in increased floods and landslides. Consequently, many people have lost their lives and properties.
Shifting to the opposing perspective, person should be accountable to safeguarding the habitat. People must be educated to understand their impact on environment and adopt practices that promote sustainability. Simple action, such as recycling and reducing plastic use, can contribute significantly to environmental protection. Due to this, surrounding will be clean and become habitable for each species.
In conclusion, while both governments and individuals are accountable to safeguards the environment, I believe it is vital role of governments to promote more and more beneficial actions to protect the environment.
