Some individuals think that people who live in the current century have more opportunities to live well in comparison to those from earlier centuries.
Regarding today’s life, there are many technologies that provide us with a high-quality level of life, for instance, vacuum cleaners, washingmashines and different kinds of electric grills make housework much more comfortable than in previous centuries. Also, today any person can get a good education at school and then in university. Every child after school can choose what he wants to do in his life, and no one can influence his decision. As well, communication in the 21st century is faster and more accessible. Mobile phones can be afforded by anyone and provide a fast way to connect with other people.
On the other hand, because of overpopulation, the quality of products, clothes and other commodities is worse than earlier, for example, there are so many chemicals in food, which make it more resilient and look good, but for people these chemicals are harmful. In some countries people eat food from plastic because of lack of natural food. In the previous centuries the quality of different things was better because all of them were made for people. Products were natural without chemical fertilizers and without harm to individuals.
In conclusion, new technologies provide peoples high-quality and comfortable lifes, but because of overpopulation the quality of commodities decreases giving the priority ti the quantity. This issue has many contradictory facets and only few of them were mentioned in this essay.
