It has been observed by some individuals that senior citizens should continue to be immersed in their labourforce.I partially agree with this notion, although older people can become independent by continuously working, there can be an increase in unemployment.
To embark with, there are numerous rationales why senior citizens should continue to be involved in their workforce.First and foremost is that older people can earn money by doing job, due to which, they do not depend on their family for money and any other sources.As a result, older people can manage their expenses by their own.Furthermore, senior citizens can have more experience than younger ones so by their experience, they can lead to increase in productivity.Hence, senior citizens can not only become independent but also they can lead to increase in productivity by being involved in their labour force.
On the other hand, there are many reasons why older people should not continue to be involved in their workforce.Firstly, senior citizens are more experienced and young people have to compete with them to get jobs, in this way, older people can become a reason for unemployment. Moreover, older people can have health related issues because of which they cannot stay concentrated and focused on their work.Also in this age older people should have time to analyze their journey throughout their life as they worked for their whole life, they should have some time to enjoy their life.Thus, senior citizens can lead to unemployment and they can be less focused because of health related problems.
In conclusion, eventhough older people can become independent, they can lead to unemployment by continuously doing their jobs.
