People hold differing views regarding whether competition is useful in our lives or we should try team collaborations. This essay will discuss both perspectives before explaining why I believe that teamwork is more beneficial.
On the one hand, supporters of rivalry in everyday life argue that people constantly develop new skills and expand their knowledge to stay relevant in their field. Although competition motivates individuals to put in more effort and achieve better results. This is largely because races often offer financial prizes or recognition. Also, many people compete to earn prestige or admiration from society. For instance, students usually compete with each other for scholarship or companies to attract customers, which often leads to better products and services.
On the other hand, those who favour teamwork believe that when people work together, they can share different opinions and come up with more effective solutions. The main reason is that working in a team helps to improve cooperation, collaboration and communication skills which have positive effect in daily networking. A good example of this is group work at schools and universities that help students gain confidence with sharing their opinion and delegate tasks within a team. Moreover, in companies, managers often discuss with their team important decisions, so a project can be completed faster or more efficiently.
In conclusion, although both viewpoints have merit, I strongly consider that teamwork has more positive aspects because it helps individuals to combine their knowledge and skills, resulting in more effective problem-solving.
