In current years, a variety of arguers propose that a global organiztion should oversee addressing environmental problems rather than letting a government solve merely on itself. In my perspective, that responsibility should be taken by national governments since their possibilities of supervising and controlling environmental circumstances on a national scale.
Initially, a global environmental organisation will be beneficial for environments as it specializes in findings and research into environmental issues around the world. This organisation can assemble number of environmental engineers all over the world to pinpoint the current problems which their nation is now facing. By accumulating huge funds from each national member, the organisation is feasible to spend on operating, research and development. However, there are some hindrances for this organisation influencing globally since the high rise in geopolitical conflicts in Mid-eastern countries caused out limitations that the safety for organisation’s members will not ensure if they are working in these places. Such a hindrance restricts the organisation conducting its environmental solutions in a large scale in the whole of 196 countries around the world, with a wide range of issues such as air pollution, water pollution, water pollution and so forth.
In contrast, while the national authorities take responsibility for environmental problems and have their drawbacks in shortage of international collaborations, their benefits seemed to be outweighed the disadvantaged ones. Foremost among these benefits is the adaptive resolution of current environmental conditions, take Ho Chi Minh city in Vietnam for instance, a thriving metropolis with huge number of citizens accounted for more than ten million in recent years. This city is now facing a problematic concern of air pollution results in high density of fossil fuel-used vehicles, leading to a detrimental effect on people’s health issues that requires on-time solution for it. Therefore, Vietnamese government not only proposed a policy to restrict the volume of these vehicles in some central areas but also encourage vehicle users to utilize electric modes of transport to minimize the air pollution and 2.5pm dust.
In conclusion, although both methods have their pros and cons, the effectiveness of supervising and modifying by government will be prominent when taking both into consideration.
